Gorakhpur Link Expressway: The Gorakhpur Link Expressway, Stretching 91.35 kilometres, is all set to open for commuters in New Year, that is, January 2025. The Gorakhpur Link Expressway will give a significant boost to Uttar Pradesh’s road infrastructure, connecting Gorakhpur to Azamgarh, linking with the Purvanchal Expressway to provide a seamless route to Lucknow, Agra, and Delhi. The Gorakhpur Link Expressway is nearing completion, with 98 per cent of construction already finished.

Gorakhpur Link Expressway Details

The Gorakhpur Link Expressway starts from NH-27 near Jaitpur village in Gorakhpur and ending at Salarpur in Azamgarh, the expressway has been built at a cost of Rs 7,283.28 crore, as per a TOI report.

Travel time between Gorakhpur and Lucknow will be reduced to just 3.5 hours via the Purvanchal Expressway, a development expected to enhance regional connectivity and improve road transport efficiency.

Gorakhpur Link Expressway Construction Highlights

-Clearing and soil work for the main carriageway is 100 per cent complete.

-Out of 343 proposed structures, 337 are ready, with the remaining under rapid construction.
