A young man from Sirodhan village in Hapur district was kidnapped and murdered. To hide his identity after the killing, his body was doused with petrol and set on fire, and then dumped in a jungle in the neighboring Bulandshahr district. On Tuesday evening, the victim's family identified him by his shoes and half-burnt clothes.

The murder is being blamed on a notorious criminal with a police record from the same village, and the victim's family is protesting, demanding his arrest. The police have reached the scene.

The victim's uncle, Irfan Ali Chauhan, explained that his 24-year-old nephew, Sufiyan, son of Israr, used to run a small snacks and water stall near a liquor shop. About two months ago, the notorious criminal, Nitin Bata, who is from the same village, took a water bottle from his shop. When Sufiyan asked for money, Nitin slapped him, and Sufiyan pushed him back in response. Nitin Bata then left, threatening to kill him.

Two weeks later, Nitin also fired a shot at Sufiyan's brother, Sameer and a complaint about that incident was filed with the police.
