The administration has introduced the Family ID as a powerful tool for residents to access government benefits seamlessly. For families who do not possess a ration card, the Family ID will function as an equivalent document, ensuring they can avail themselves of every government scheme for which they are eligible.
Automatic Pension And Social Security
A key feature of this initiative is the automation of social security benefits. When the head of a family registered with a Family ID reaches the age of 60, the District Social Welfare Department will automatically process their old-age pension using the existing database. This eliminates the need for senior citizens to visit government offices to apply for their pension.
Streamlined Access To Schemes
The Family ID is designed to be a single-point document for verifying eligibility. Beneficiaries can simply present their Family ID at relevant offices to avail benefits, eliminating the need to carry multiple supporting documents. If eligible, the benefits will be processed directly.
The ID provides direct access to major schemes, including:
- Ayushman Bharat
- Ujjwala Yojana
- Scholarships
- Kisan Samman Nidhi
- Pensions (Old-age, Widow, and Disability)
Focus On Employment Opportunities
The Family ID will play a crucial role in mapping unemployment. It will help the administration identify households where members are unemployed.
Priority Notification: As soon as the district administration or employment office receives information about job vacancies, families with registered unemployed members will be notified first.
Direct Interview Access: Registered individuals can directly attend interviews with the assistance of the employment office.
Application Process
Residents can apply for the Family ID by visiting the Economics and Statistics Department office at Vikas Bhavan or by applying online from the comfort of their homes.

Around 30,000 have been created for families in our area, and the remainder are currently being processed. This will provide access to the benefits of government schemes.
