A gathering of local residents continues today, Thursday, for the second consecutive day following the suicides of three minor sisters in the Bharat City Society. Chetan Kumar, the grieving father who lost his three daughters, expressed deep remorse and has urged the government to ban Korean content.
What Did The Father Say?
Speaking with media personnel again on Thursday, Chetan Kumar demanded a ban on content such as Korean online games, movies and web series. Reflecting on the tragic step taken by his daughters, he expressed regret, stating, "I admit that I was unable to give enough attention to my children."
It is noteworthy that late Tuesday night around 2:00 am, the three minor girls jumped to their deaths from the ninth floor of a building in Bharat City Society. The girls were reportedly addicted to online gaming and Korean content. When their father confiscated their mobile phones two weeks ago, all three had been struggling with severe stress.
In a suicide note, the girls wrote that they loved Korean culture and could not live without it. They had also expressed a desire to go to Korea, for which their father had scolded them.
Atmosphere Of Fear In The Society
Earlier, Chetan Kumar remained inside his home with his three wives behind closed doors. The parents had initially avoided speaking with society residents and the media, refusing to open the door to visitors. Late Wednesday night, the last rites for the three girls were performed at the Nigam Bodh Ghat in Delhi. Since the incident, an atmosphere of fear has gripped the children of the society, with many skipping school today.
Mobile Investigation To Reveal Crucial Details
Police reached Chetan’s residence once again today for further questioning. Additionally, the forensic investigation report of the mobile phones seized by the police team is expected today. The findings are anticipated to provide answers to several lingering questions regarding the case.
