In a significant move aimed at streamlining citizen services, the government has introduced an online system that enables easy correction and modification of Family ID details. Under the One Family One Identity scheme, every household is issued a unique 12-digit identification number. This initiative is especially beneficial for families that do not possess ration cards.
According to officials, the Family ID serves as a digital representation of all family members and is a prerequisite to access over 76 central and state government welfare schemes. E-District Manager Sandeep Yadav stated that the new system will simplify the correction process and encourage more people to register for Family IDs without hesitation.
