Municipal Commissioner Sudhir Kumar carried out a surprise inspection of the CM Grid Road construction near Alankar Guest House in Kidwai Nagar on Tuesday. During the visit, he directed officials to develop a 200-meter model stretch to showcase the future structure of the road and raise public awareness about the ongoing project.

While inspecting the stretch between Kidwai Nagar Mikki House and Sachan Chauraha, the Commissioner expressed serious concern over widespread encroachments on both sides. He immediately ordered the removal of the person in charge of Zone-5 and directed that action be initiated at Mikki House without delay.

Taking note of complaints regarding temporary encroachments in a local park, Sudhir Kumar personally visited the site and instructed officials to verify all land ownership documents and take appropriate action as per legal provisions.

In a broader anti-encroachment campaign, a major drive was conducted from Parade Square to Chetna Square via Bada Square and Beconganj Square. Around 70 temporary encroachments were removed, and a fine of Rs 5,000 was imposed.
