Kanwar Yatra 2024: In the view of the auspicious Kanwar Yatra, which is set to begin on July 22 and end on August 2, the roadways department officials have announced 80 additional buses for devotees from Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Devotees will get buses for Haridwar and Rishikesh every 12-15 minutes from here.
The department has planned to operate the buses from the Noida depot from 6 AM to 10 PM. The buses will be operated depending on the number of passengers. In this, 60 buses will be operated from July 15 while 20 buses will be kept in reserve.
Thousands of devotees from Delhi-NCR and Noida visit Haridwar to collect water and offer it to Lord Shiva, in this holy month of Sawan.
According to the Roadways department, devotees will leave for Haridwar and Rishikesh from Noida from July 15 onwards.
Sixty Buses To Run Initially
ARM NP Singh stated that initially, 60 buses will be operated. As the number of passengers grows, all 80 extra buses will be released so that devotees do not face any problems. However, during the month of Savan, extra efforts will be taken to ensure cleanliness at the bus terminal. Buses will be cleaned and then operated.
Drivers, Conductors To Undergo Breath Analyser Test
This time officials from the Roadways Department are extremely strict with drivers and conductors of the buses. The officials will conduct a checking campaign and a breath analyser test on the drivers and conductors to make sure they are not intoxicated .
During the month of Savan, buses should run on their scheduled routes. There should be no traffic congestion due to highway buses.
