The problem of contaminated drinking water supply in Hasanganj Bawli of Saadatganj has yet to be resolved. The issue was prominently highlighted in reports published by Dainik Jagran on January 4 and 5. Taking cognisance of the reports, a team from the Jal Kal Vibhag (Water Works Department), along with local councillor Shiv Kumar Yadav Guddu, visited the affected area on Thursday to inspect the situation.
During the inspection, residents complained of receiving foul-smelling and dirty water mixed with sand. They showed the officials samples of the contaminated water collected in bottles. Residents Sanno Yadav, Snehlata, and Geeta Yadav informed the officials that the problem has persisted for the past 15 days, with polluted water being supplied continuously.

They said the water was so contaminated and malodorous that it was unfit not only for drinking but even for household use, such as washing clothes. Taking note of the complaints, Councillor Shiv Kumar Yadav Guddu directed Jal Kal officials to excavate the pipeline and carry out necessary repairs to restore a clean drinking water supply.
Residents expressed gratitude to Dainik Jagran for highlighting the issue and drawing the attention of the authorities.
