From the iconic Bara Imambara to the vibrant Chikankari markets, the city seamlessly blends old-world magic with modern charm. If you are planning to visit Lucknow, then now is the best time, as the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) launched the Lucknow Darshan, a double-decker electric bus, on January 7.
This new service allows both tourists and residents to explore the city’s historic landmarks and aromatic food lanes in a single, convenient journey.

Lucknow Darshan Double-Decker EV Bus: Check Route And Timings
- The Lucknow Darshan bus is equipped with two decks and can accommodate up to 66 passengers.
- The service operates in two slots: one in the morning and one in the evening, with both tours beginning from 1090 Chauraha.
- The morning service operates from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, covering several iconic landmarks such as the Vidhan Sabha, Ambedkar Park, and the Gomti Riverfront. It includes dedicated 40-minute stops at The Residency and Vidhan Sabha for a more detailed exploration.
- The evening service runs from 4 PM to 7 PM and includes a signature Light and Sound Show at The Residency. The journey concludes at Food Valley in Gomti Nagar.
- However, the Lucknow Darshan double-decker bus does not cover the old city landmarks like the Bara Imambara, Rumi Gate and Hussainabad Clock Tower. Speaking to News18, an official stated that the vehicle's height makes it unsafe to pass through low-clearance roads and overbridges in those areas.
