In a shocking incident, a bomb threat was reported at the Hussain Ganj Metro Station via the UP Dial 112 emergency service on Saturday. As soon as the information was received, all security agencies were alerted. The police, along with senior officers, the bomb disposal squad and the dog squad, immediately arrived at the location, as per Jagran.com.
The teams began searching the station, but no suspicious items were found. According to the police, efforts are underway to trace the person who made the call. The caller had informed the police about a bomb being placed at the Hussain Ganj Metro Station, likely to create panic in the city.

The threat was reported to the UP Dial112 control room at 10:55 pm. The information was then relayed to the Police Commissioner’s office and an immediate alert was issued in the city. ADC (Central) Manisha Singh, ACP (Hazratganj) Vikas Jaiswal and Inspector Ram Kumar Gupta of Hussain Ganj, along with their teams, arrived on the scene. Soon, the bomb disposal squad also reached the location.
The entire station was searched, but no suspicious items were found. According to ADC (Central), besides the Hussain Ganj Metro Station, security checks were initiated at Charbagh Railway Station, Alambagh, Hazratganj and several other metro stations as a precautionary measure. All police stations were also put on high alert. The police, along with the bomb disposal squad and SSF, are engaged in the operation.
ACP Vikas Jaiswal stated that the phone number used to make the call is currently switched off. The last known location of the caller was near the Burlington FI Tower. To apprehend the caller, two police teams, along with the Central Zone surveillance team, have been deployed.
The police further mentioned that two hours before the bomb threat, the SSF team responsible for metro security had conducted a routine inspection. After receiving the threat, Charbagh Railway Station was also put on alert and the RPF conducted a search. People were advised to report any suspicious objects immediately.
