The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to enhance connectivity and infrastructure across several parts of the city. As part of the development plans, a 24-metre-wide road will be constructed to connect the Naimish Nagar scheme with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) on Sitapur-Raitha Road. This move aims to improve access to the proposed residential area and surrounding localities.
LDA Vice-Chairperson Prathmesh Kumar recently inspected the site and issued directives to expedite the project. Officials and consultants have been instructed to begin work on the connecting road from the IIM side.

During the inspection, the Vice-Chairperson also reviewed enforcement action against illegal plotting within the Naimish Nagar scheme. Using GIS technology, all unauthorised plots have been identified. It was observed that while the Enforcement Zone-Four team is actively working on the ground, progress has been hampered by staff shortages. To address this, two additional junior engineers and support staff will be deployed in the zone.
In addition to infrastructure upgrades, the LDA will also redevelop ageing commercial complexes. The two-storey commercial complex in Sector-G of Aliganj, spread over approximately 8,000 square metres and comprising eight blocks, will be redesigned due to its deteriorating condition. The Kapurthala complex, covering around 6,000 square metres, is also set to be upgraded. The Vice-Chairperson has instructed that redevelopment work begin without delay.

Chief Engineer Navneet Sharma, Zonal Officer Sangeeta Raghav, and Executive Engineer Ashok Kumar were among the senior officials present during the inspection.
