Tuesday became an unforgettable day for Laki Singh, a seventh-grade student, as she stepped into the role of Uttar Pradesh's Director General of School Education for a day as part of the state's Mission Shakti program.

When Laki, a student at Upper Primary School PAC Mahanagar in Lucknow, arrived at the directorate, Director General Monika Rani personally welcomed her and seated her in the top official's chair. The moment was met with warm applause from education officials, staff, and other students present.

Displaying remarkable confidence, Laki seriously reviewed departmental files, learned about the functions of the Samagra Shiksha office, and confidently questioned officials about their work and the department's activities.

The initiative wasn't limited to Laki. Other students were also given the opportunity to sit in the chairs of various senior department officials, keenly observing files and discussing matters. The sight of their enthusiasm led many present to feel as if they were witnessing the future of administration taking shape.
