A traffic sub-inspector was suspended on Sunday for allegedly misbehaving with state BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi and his family during a routine vehicle check in Lucknow, police said. The incident occurred on Saturday evening in the Krishnanagar area as Tripathi and his family were returning home from the airport. 

BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi's complaint stated that despite providing all necessary vehicle documents, Traffic Sub-Inspector (TSI) Ashutosh Tripathi misbehaved with them. 

An official statement from the traffic police confirmed TSI Tripathi's suspension after preliminary investigations supported the allegations. Additionally, a departmental probe has been launched against the accused officer.

In another incident, a Deputy Superintendent of Police in Uttar Pradesh was demoted to constable after being caught with a female constable in a hotel three years ago, officials said. The accused Kripa Shankar Kannaujiya, then Circle Officer in Unnao, requested leave but instead checked into a hotel near Kanpur, turning off his phones. 

Kannaujiya's wife alerted authorities when she couldn't reach him. A police team discovered Kannaujiya and the female constable together, leading to his demotion and reassignment to the Provincial Armed Constabulary in Gorakhpur.
