UP Weather Update: Heavy Rain With Lightening Predicted In 55 Districts, Alert Issued

UP Weather update: Amid incessant rains in Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas, the Meteorological Department on Tuesday issued a warning in the districts of western and southern UP for lightning accompanied by scattered rain for a week.

On Monday, parts of the capital witnessed drizzle and scattered rain during the day. Consequently, there was a humid and sticky heat condition throughout the day.

Warning For Heavy Rains With Lightning Predicted In 55 Districts

According to Mohammad Danish, Senior Scientist of the Zonal Meteorology Center, a warning has been issued regarding rain and lightning in atleast 55 districts of the western and southern parts of the state for the next one week. At present, the monsoon trough line (low-pressure area in the air) is moving towards Madhya Pradesh. Because of this, there will be scattered rains across the state for the next one week. There will be no change in temperature for the next three days. After this, an increase of two to four degrees in the maximum temperature can be recorded. At the same time, due to scattered rains, the humidity may increase in different parts of the state throughout the week.

On Monday, the temperature of the capital was recorded two degrees above normal. The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.5 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.7 degree Celsius. Sporadic rains were recorded in some parts of the state. An increase of one to two degrees has been registered in the temperature across the state. The highest temperature was recorded at 37.6 degrees Celsius in Banda and 36.1 degree Celsius in Kanpur. Whereas the minimum temperature was recorded at 24.8 degrees Celsius in Sonbhadra.

Chances Of Precipitation

Meanwhile, according to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there may be scattered rains in different parts of the state including some parts of western Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. The maximum temperature in Lucknow and surrounding areas can be recorded as around 35 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature can be around 28 degree Celsius.
