In view of the expected surge of devotees attending the Magh Mela 2026, which commences in Prayagraj on Saturday, the railway administration has introduced significant measures for passenger convenience. Northern Railway has approved a temporary two-minute stoppage for various trains at Prayag Station, which will remain effective until February 20.
Additionally, operational changes have been made for the 22549 or 22550 Gorakhpur-Prayagraj Junction-Gorakhpur Express. From January 13 to January 15, this train will terminate its journey at Lucknow and will also originate from Lucknow for its return trip, instead of traveling to and from Prayagraj Junction.
Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh stated that the following trains will now halt temporarily at Prayag Station for two minutes until February 20:
