Mahakumbh 2025 is set for a 45-day spiritual extravaganza starting today with around 4 crore people expected to attend the religious gathering. Devotees from across India and the globe will converge to take a holy dip in the Sangam. Among the many attractions, helicopter rides have captured the most attention, offering an aerial view of the sacred city for an affordable price.
Mahakumbh 2025: Helicopter Rides
Starting Monday, helicopter rides will be available at a reduced fare of Rs 1,296, down from Rs 3,000. The Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister, Jaiveer Singh, announced that these rides, operated by Pawan Hans, will last seven to eight minutes, providing breathtaking views of the Mahakumbh area. Tickets can be booked online via www.upstdc.co.in, but prices may vary depending on weather and demand.
The Mahakumbh will also feature live performances by renowned artists from across India. Bollywood singer Shankar Mahadevan will open the series on January 16 at the Ganga Pandal, while Mohit Chauhan will conclude the event on February 24. Daily musical events will ensure a star-studded atmosphere throughout the festival.

Mahakumbh 2025 attendees can also look forward to drone and laser shows, special programs celebrating Uttar Pradesh Day and adventure sports organized by the state’s Tourism and Culture Department.
Meanwhile, the main ritual baths, Makar Sankranti (January 14), Mauni Amavasya (January 29) and Basant Panchami (February 3), will remain central to the religious significance of the Mahakumbh.
