Mahakumbh 2025 Last Day: Today marks the last day of the 45-day-long Mahakumbh Mela 2025 and devotees assembled at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, for the final Amrit Snan (holy bath) on Maha Shivratri on Wednesday, February 26. The mela, which occurs once every 12 years, began on January 13 (Paush Purnima) and included spectacular processions of Naga Sadhus and three 'Amrit Snans'. While others tented and waited patiently for the 'Brahma Muhurt', a large number of them carried out the bathing procedures far ahead of schedule.

The administration has declared the region a no-vehicle zone since it anticipates that 10 million devotees would take the sacred dip. The movement of all forms of vehicles, excluding administrative and medical vehicles, has been prohibited in the Mahakumbh Mela region until 8 AM on February 27 or until the crowd disperses.

About 640 million pilgrims have taken the sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers confluence, since the Mela started.
