As the Mahakumbh Mela continues, UP CM Yogi Adityanath will also take a holy dip in Sangam on Wednesday. This will be the second time that the state government’s cabinet group will gather at the Sangam banks, where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and all 54 ministers will take a collective holy dip. Additionally, a cabinet meeting will be held today, where several proposals will be approved.
In 2019, the Yogi government also conducted a cabinet meeting in Kumbh. Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Kumar Pathak, along with several other ministers, have already arrived in the city on Tuesday, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will arrive on Wednesday. All the Cabinet, Independent Charge, and State Ministers of UP have been invited to attend the meeting at the Maha Kumbh.
The meeting will start at 12 PM at the Triveni Complex in Aral. The venue was changed from the mela authority auditorium to Aral to ensure there is no inconvenience for devotees coming for the holy bath. After the meeting, all ministers will take a boat ride to the Sangam from the Aral VIP ghat, where they will perform rituals after their Ganga bath. MPs and MLAs from Prayagraj and neighboring districts will also be present for the bath.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will arrive by helicopter at the helipad located at DPS ground around 11 AM on Wednesday to attend the cabinet group meeting. From there, he will travel by car to the Triveni Complex.
