Mahakumbh News: In a tragic road accident on Sunday morning, a high speed double decker bus heading towards MahaKumbh overturned near Lucknow. The bus lost its control in Tikunia near Para, injuring around 25 passengers. While one of the children is critical after the accident, others managed to crawl from the scene on their own.
The people residing nearby the accident scene rushed to the spot and helped the passengers getting out from the bus. They were later joined by the police officials of the nearby police station, who reached there upon getting the information. The police officials rushed the injured ones to the Lokbandhu hospital where they are being treated.

Providing details, police stated that the bus was travelling from Delhi to Lucknow on Sunday. The bus driver lost the control probably due to the fog as it reached near the turning point of Tikunia. However, the exact reason behind the accident is not known yet. The police further stated that almost 40 people were there in the bus when it met with the accident, adding that all the passengers are out of danger now.
The police has began a probe into the matter to find the actual reason behind the accident. The driver immediately fled from the scene after the accident. However, the local police officials have affirmed that he will be caught soon. The act from driver seemed more serious as one of the passengers informed the police that the driver had handed over the control to someone else.

The passengers also informed that the bus was overloaded with their belongings. They further disclosed that the bus had already lost the control several times on the way; however, they managed to escape before this accident. They also confirmed that most of the passengers in the bus are headed towards auspicious religious event MahaKumbh in Prayagraj.
