Meerut Murder Case Update: Sahil Shukla, accused in the murder of Saurabh, was attacked by inmates inside the Mulaija barrack. Prisoners are reportedly furious over the crime, prompting jail authorities to consider transferring Sahil to another facility. Additionally, student leader Vinit Chaprana has written to the Director General (DG) of Prisons, demanding Sahil's immediate transfer.

Reports suggest that Sahil was assaulted inside the barrack, leading the jail superintendent to reprimand prison guards. The superintendent also claimed that both Sahil and Muskan Rastogi, the co-accused in the case, were being counselled. However, sources indicate that no counselling has taken place so far, as the assigned doctors were allegedly denied access to the accused.

Meerut Murder Case

Muskan Rastogi, a resident of Brahmapuri, married Saurabh, a resident of Indranagar, in 2016. The couple welcomed a daughter, Pihu, in 2019. However, the same year, Muskan met her classmate Sahil Shukla and their relationship led to a rift in her marriage. The situation escalated to the point where Muskan and Saurabh decided to separate.

Saurabh later moved to London, but upon his return, Muskan and Sahil executed a plan to kill him. They murdered Saurabh, hid his body in a drum and sealed it with cement. The crime was later uncovered by the police, leading to the arrest of both accused, who were then sent to jail.

Sahil Assaulted In Jail, Transfer Considered

Inside the jail, Sahil was allegedly assaulted by fellow prisoners, leaving visible injuries on his face. Due to this, he has not been presented for counselling. Despite jail superintendent Veeresh Raj Sharma's claim that Sahil and Muskan are receiving regular counselling from Dr. Vibha Nagar and Dr. Vinita Sharma, the doctors have denied this.

Dr. Vinita Sharma stated that she was not involved in counselling, while Dr. Vibha Nagar mentioned that she was not permitted to meet Muskan when she visited the jail. Following these revelations, the prison administration has been on high alert.

The officials have now initiated the process of transferring Sahil to another jail due to the ongoing hostility from other inmates. His transfer is expected to take place soon.
