A young woman from a village under the Kankarkhera police station area submitted a petition to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) on Monday, demanding action against her partner. The complainant alleges that the accused has been raping her for the past four years under the pretext of marriage.

Background Of The Case

According to the petition, the woman met the accused, a resident of the Jani police station area, at a family function four years ago. The two exchanged mobile numbers and began communicating regularly, which eventually led to frequent meetings. The victim alleges that the man established a sexual relationship with her by promising marriage.

Threats And Assault

The situation escalated a month ago when the woman asked her partner to fulfill his promise of marriage. Instead of agreeing, the accused allegedly threatened to circulate her explicit photos and videos on social media. The petition states that on December 21, the accused called her to a hotel under the threat of making the content viral and raped her.
