To enhance passenger convenience, the railway administration has made significant changes to the train's coaches. The Nauchandi Express (Train No. 14241 and 14242), which runs between Saharanpur and Prayagraj Sangam via the district, will now operate with upgraded modern Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches. This new arrangement has been implemented effective January 15, 2026.

Enhanced Safety And Comfort

The introduction of LHB coaches will ensure a safer, more comfortable, and smoother journey for passengers. Constructed from stainless steel, these coaches are equipped with anti-telescopic technology, which significantly reduces the risk of loss of life and property in the event of an accident.

Speed And Modern Features

Additionally, the coaches feature larger windows, improved ventilation, and modern interiors, further enhancing the overall travel experience.

Operational Efficiency

Being lighter in weight, LHB coaches have a higher carrying capacity and a longer lifespan compared to traditional ICF coaches, which also results in lower maintenance costs. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Kuldeep Tiwari stated that the inclusion of LHB coaches will provide high-standard facilities to passengers traveling on the Nauchandi Express.
