In a step towards improving legal preparedness and preventing delays, the Noida Authority is developing a new software system that will send automated alerts to its officers three days before court hearing dates. The initiative aims to ensure timely appearances and effective case management across various departments.
The system is being introduced to address the rising number of legal cases involving the Bhulekh Department, Commercial, Group Housing, Residential Plot, and Industrial departments. Among these, the Bhulekh Department faces the highest number of litigations.
Dr Lokesh M, CEO of Noida Authority, informed that a software company recently gave a detailed presentation of the proposed system. After incorporating necessary modifications, development work is now underway, and the software is expected to be ready within this month.
Once operational, the software will allow the authority to:
-Receive case alerts three days before hearings
-Access updated, case-wise information
-Maintain records of appointed lawyers
-Coordinate legal strategy in advance
-Avoid contempt of court and ensure timely advocacy
Initially, the software will include data from the Supreme Court, Allahabad High Court, and the Lucknow Bench. In subsequent phases, it will be expanded to cover cases in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), and National Green Tribunal (NGT).
This digital move is expected to enhance legal efficiency and accountability within the Noida Authority.
