The Noida Authority is preparing a City Logistics Plan (CLP) to reduce traffic congestion and curb air pollution in the city’s industrial sectors. The plan will be based on the National Logistics Policy (NLP) and will involve forming a Freight Partnership Committee (FPC).

The committees will include government officials, industry representatives, logistics providers, and academic experts, who will draft specialised action plans for key sectors such as e-commerce, electronics, and pharmaceuticals. Under the new strategy, logistics on major city routes will be regulated to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials to industrial units and markets, as well as finished goods to consumers.

Additional CEO Sateesh Pal said the Authority has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP), with applications open until October 27. The selected agency will prepare the logistics plan, which will include mapping high-traffic roads, warehouses, markets, and industrial zones. Proposed measures will cover improved truck movement, better parking, and enhanced loading-unloading facilities.

Currently, Noida lacks a structured plan for truck movement, resulting in heavy vehicles entering residential and commercial areas, causing traffic jams and inconvenience. The CLP aims to regulate heavy vehicle movement during off-peak hours and designate specific logistics zones, ensuring smooth transport operations.
