Noida News: In a recent crackdown, Noida Police has strengthened ID verification at hotels and other establishments, informing hotel operators to ensure not to allot rooms to people without valid ID in the district. They further said action will be taken against the operator if this is done, jagran.com reported.

Strict Instructions Given To Hotel Operators

On the instructions of Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh in Greater Noida, police teams gave these instructions to the establishment operators while inspecting hotel restaurants across the district on Wednesday night.

Police Inspects Hotels And Restaurants

The Police Commissioner has directed the department to increase vigilance to maintain security and peace in view of the upcoming Republic Day, Delhi Assembly election and Maha Kumbh Mela. In view of this, police teams patrolled the entire district on Wednesday night. Hotels, restaurants, dhabas and other places where tourists stay were inspected. Identity cards of the people staying at the establishments were also checked.

Interrogation Of Suspects

Suspicious people were searched and questioned. During this, the police officers instructed the operators of hotels, restaurants and other establishments to give rooms to anyone only after taking their ID.

Legal Action Will Be Taken

Other details including the ID of the people staying should also be mandatorily recorded in the register. Legal action will be taken against those who do not do so. The Police Commissioner has instructed the police teams to conduct regular checking campaigns.
