Noida Airport Update: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to visit the Noida International Airport on Thursday to review the ongoing preparations ahead of its expected inauguration. This will be the Chief Minister’s second inspection in a month and officials are preparing detailed reports for the visit.
During this inspection, Yogi Adityanath will review the progress made since his previous visit in October. He had then asked officials and the project developer, Yamuna International Airport Pvt. Ltd., to fast-track the remaining work and ensure the airport becomes operational at the earliest. Thursday’s visit will focus on whether those directives have been followed on the ground.
Noida Airport Update: BCAS Completes Final Security Audit Of Noida Airport
The airport project has crossed major milestones over the past week. The Standing Committee of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has completed its security audit of the facility. The committee examined security arrangements on Monday and Tuesday, marking what officials describe as the final round of inspection. The report will now be forwarded to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Noida Airport Update: DGCA Licence Awaited; Inauguration Date Expected By Mid-December
The DGCA has already carried out its final inspection of the aerodrome infrastructure. Once DGCA issues the aerodrome licence, the Prime Minister’s Office is expected to finalise the inauguration date. Officials suggest the announcement may come on or before December 15, depending on the licensing timeline.
Noida Airport Update: Construction Complete, Final Operational Checks Underway
The airport construction work is reportedly complete, with only last-stage operational preparations underway. State officials expect swift clearances, paving the way for the long-awaited launch of Uttar Pradesh’s second international airport.
Bus Connectivity Planned From Noida Airport
In a separate update, authorities have begun planning transport links to ensure smooth connectivity once the airport becomes operational. Noida International Airport (NIA) has signed an agreement with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) for dedicated bus services connecting the airport to major nearby cities.
The planned routes include Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Agra, Aligarh, Mathura–Vrindavan and Hathras. Additional bus services will extend to cities such as Bulandshahr, Farrukhabad, Firozabad, Hapur, Moradabad and Shikohabad. Officials say these services will reduce dependence on private vehicles and offer convenient public transport access for passengers.
Preparations for the Chief Minister’s Thursday visit are currently underway across the airport site.
