Most of the construction work of the terminal building, runway, ATC tower and aero bridge has been completed, with the Yamuna International Airport Private Limited working on the remaining work to be completed before Diwali at any cost.

The program is expected to witness around 1.5 lakh attendees from seven districts of western Uttar Pradesh, including Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, and Mathura. The inauguration will enhance the support of BJP-led states in neighbouring Delhi and Haryana.

The airport, being constructed for Rs 29,500 crore, will generate employment opportunities for over 5 lakh citizens. It is projected to boost businesses and industries not only in Gautam Buddh Nagar but across western UP, Delhi NCR, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan.

Noida International Airport is set to become India’s largest airport with six runways to be built at 6,200 hectares of land, with one cargo runway on each side. In the first phase, one runway, terminal building, and cargo hub have been completed. The annual passenger capacity of the airport is 1.2 crore, which is expected to increase to 3 crore by 2031, 5 crore in 2036 and 7 crore in 2040.
