A man, who recently returned home after a sentence of 20 years in jail, was found dead on the terrace of his house in Noida. The incident occurred in Hoshiarpur village of Noida on Monday. Police suspect that the man allegedly died by suicide as initial investigation found that he hanged himself through a pipe. However, police didn’t find any suicide not at the site and further investigation into the case is underway.
The deceased, Sallu alias Shalu (40), lived in Hoshiyar village. He was convicted in a murder case and came back to Noida at his brother’s home around 12 days ago after spending 20 years in prison, police said.
Noida Sector 24 police station received information about the incident from the emergency personnel of the Police Response Vehicle (PRV). "Sallu had committed suicide by hanging himself through a pipe on the terrace of his house here. He hailed from Sambhal district in Uttar Pradesh," an official spokesperson said.

The deceased’s family has not registered any complaint related to his death so far. Police said the reason behind the man taking this step remains inconclusive while legal proceedings are underway.
