Under the Business Plan 2025-26, improvement works are to be carried out in the electricity system in Noida. Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (PVVNL) is set to increase the capacity of seven different substations.
In line with this, a new 10 MVA capacity transformer has been installed at the substation in Sector-63A, increasing its total capacity from 25 to 30 MVA, to strengthen the electricity system. This capacity increase will directly benefit approximately 2,200 industries in the area, which will now receive significant relief from power cuts and voltage issues.
PVVNL is working to improve the district's electricity supply through the Business Plan for Rs 97.51 crore. The major industrial area of Sector-63A has a large number of industries. Due to rising demand, complaints of overloading and tripping were previously common.
The additional five MVA capacity at the substation is set to reduce complaints. This upgrade will not only benefit industrial units but will also ensure a stable electricity supply to surrounding residential areas.
