The operation of two and four-wheeled petrol and diesel vehicles used for e-commerce (online order delivery) and by aggregators (food delivery, app-based taxis) will be prohibited in Noida from January 1, 2026. This arrangement will be implemented on the order of the Commission for Air Quality Monitoring (CAQM). 

On Saturday, officials from the transport department held a meeting with operators and representatives of e-commerce and aggregator companies and instructed them to ensure compliance with the order. Currently, more than 50,000 two-wheeled and over 3,000 four-wheeled diesel and petrol vehicles are being used in the city for e-commerce and by aggregators.

E-commerce and aggregator companies will only be able to operate vehicles carrying weights of up to 3.5 tonnes on electric and CNG fuel. More than 3,000 two-wheeled commercial vehicles are registered in the city, while over 53,000 are operating commercially. More than 17,000 four-wheeled vehicles are registered for passenger and e-commerce use. 

Deputy Divisional Transport Officer (Administration) Nand Kumar stated that the commission's orders will be strictly enforced. To this end, operators and representatives of e-commerce and aggregator companies were given a deadline of January 1 during a meeting.

Afterwards, in accordance with the commission's orders, action will be taken against two and four-wheeled diesel and petrol vehicles used for delivering food and other goods. Officials from the transport department's enforcement team were present at the meeting.
