The central government has approved the proposed deer park and sunset safari at Noida's Biodiversity Park in Sector-91. A retired District Forest Officer (DFO) will be appointed as an advisor to plan the park's internal structure.

Noida Authority CEO, Dr Lokesh M, stated that specialised lighting will be installed to avoid disturbing the deer while allowing visitors to observe and learn about them. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared under the guidance of the retired DFO, after which tenders will be issued for construction.

Deer rescued from the airport will be housed in the park, along with deer from a rescue center being built near Dhanauri Wetland and other zoos across the state. The 30-acre deer park, designed as a mini-zoo, is estimated to cost around Rs 40 crores.

This will be the district's first sunset safari, allowing visitors to view deer and aquatic birds under spectrum lighting until 10 pm. The spectrum lights will simulate darkness for the animals while remaining visible to visitors.

The park will house 132 deer of 10 different species, three of which will be imported from Africa. Deer will also be brought in from zoos in Kanpur, Hyderabad, and Lucknow. Noida Authority CEO Dr Lokesh M emphasised the uniqueness of the deer park in the Noida and Ghaziabad area and the consultations with animal experts to ensure a suitable environment for the imported deer.
