Noida Traffic Police has issued an advisory for the Noida Expressway and DND Flyway on Monday and Tuesday due to the visit of Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, who will be attending academic events in the city. On Monday morning, Dhankhar is scheduled to inaugurate the Association of Indian Universities' annual meet and the National Conference of Vice-Chancellors at Amity University.

"The Vice-President will likely take the DND Flyway and Noida Expressway to reach Amity University at 10am. Traffic restrictions will be implemented during VIP movement on these routes and nearby areas," a senior traffic police official said.

Traffic Restrictions Timings 

Officials stated that traffic restrictions are expected to last around 20 minutes during VIP movement. Adding to the congestion, vice-chancellors and academicians from various universities will be using the same routes, significantly increasing traffic pressure. 

Regular vehicular movement will be temporarily halted on the Noida Expressway and DND Flyway during these periods. Governor Anandiben Patel’s itinerary also includes visits to multiple institutions.

APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Event 

On Monday, Governor Anandiben Patel is scheduled to attend events at APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University in Sector 62 and GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management.

Similar traffic restrictions will be enforced in Sector 62 and Knowledge Park area during her visit," the official said. The governor will also participate in the conference at Amity University on Tuesday.

The two-day conference is expected to bring together institutional heads from across the country, policymakers, and representatives of apex academic bodies to discuss key challenges in higher education and formulate strategies to establish India as a global leader in education.

Helpline Number 

To minimise inconvenience, traffic police have advised commuters to use alternative routes over the two days. A dedicated helpline number (9971009001) has also been set up for traffic-related queries and assistance.

The restrictions are expected to particularly affect regular commuters on the Noida Expressway and DND Flyway, vital routes connecting Noida and Delhi.

"We urge residents to factor in potential delays while planning their travel during this period," the official said.
