In anticipation of the heavy crowd expected during the Air Show scheduled for October 8 in Prayagraj, the traffic police in the city have implemented special measures. To ensure safety and smooth traffic flow, rehearsals by Air Force personnel will take place on October 6. For a period of three days, heavy vehicles will not be allowed entry into certain areas while several traffic diversions will be enforced on main routes within the city.
The impact of the Air Show will be felt across approximately 20 kilometres, spanning from Bamrauli to Sangam nose. During the Air Show (from October 6 to 8), traffic movement on key bridges such as the Shastri Bridge and the New Yamuna Bridge will be restricted to maintain security.
Vehicles travelling from Bamrauli to Dhumanganj should follow the route via Rajrooppur, Jhalwa Crossing, and DRM Office Road. Conversely, those heading from the city to Dhumanganj should use the route from Rajrooppur to Jhalwa Crossing and then proceed via DRM Office Road. Heavy vehicles coming from Kanpur will be diverted from Kokhraj.
