Prayagraj has implemented a traffic plan in preparation for the Paush Purnima bathing festival during Magh Mela. Under this, heavy vehicle entry into the city will be prohibited beginning Wednesday at midnight. Vehicle routes from outside the city will be diverted, and no entry will be implemented in major locations. This arrangement will take effect from midnight on January 24th to February 16th.
The traffic plan will also be applied to nearby vehicles. An adequate number of police officers are deployed at no entry points.
Routes With 'No Entry'
Malak Harhar Tiraha, Habusa Mod, Soraon Bypass, Nawabganj Bypass, Phaphamau, Mandar Mod Dhumanganj, Transport Nagar Tiraha, Rampur Square, Ghurpur Police Station Gate, Laprosi Square and Andawa Square have been made no entry points.
Diverted Routes
Heavy vehicles going from Kanpur to the city will be diverted to the bypass built at Kokhraj Kaushambi, which will connect to Varanasi via Handia.

Vehicles traveling from Varanasi to Kanpur will exit Kokhraj via the Handia Bypass Road.
The Bandhwa Tiraha bound for Banda via Chilla from Lalauli will depart from the Chaudgara intersection in Fatehpur. The return route will remain the same.
Vehicles traveling from Kanpur to Mirzapur will be routed to Banda via Bindki and Lalauli. From Karvi, turn right at Mau, Shankargarh, Naribari, Kheri, Koraon, and Manda, and head towards Mirzapur. The return route will remain the same.
