Rae Bareli News: Residents of several villages in Rae Bareli’s Unchahar area are living in fear after drones were spotted flying over houses during the night. The unusual activity has become a topic of discussion and raised concerns that this devices are used for surveillance.

According to villagers, the drones are often seen in groups of two to four. They usually appear between 9 and 10 PM and hover for long periods, disturbing the sleep of families. On Sunday night, residents of Sawaiya Tiraha, Sawaiya Hasan, Sawaiya Raje, Bhainsa Sur Sawaiya, Ehari, Rasoolpur, Matarampur and Pure Malin reported sightings.

Manoj Kumar Maurya, Akhilesh Kumar and Ghanshyam from Sawaiya Tiraha said they noticed drones flying close to rooftops for the first time. Similarly, Harish Sahu, Bablu Pal and Dinesh Kumar Maurya from Sawaiya Dhani claimed that two drones circled above their homes. People in neighbouring villages also confirmed similar experiences.

Locals believe the devices could be advanced drones with a range of 25 to 35 kilometres, capable of continuous flights. Many suspect they are being used to take pictures or videos for planning thefts. Rumours about the purpose of these flights have spread rapidly, adding to the fear among women and children.

The issue has also sparked wide debate on social media. Villagers say they are unable to sleep peacefully and want the authorities to act quickly.

The local police chief confirmed that information about the drones has been received through online platforms. He said security measures are being stepped up and night patrols have been increased in the affected areas.
