The heated argument broke out during the District event. Gandhi has been on a two-day visit to his constituency, Rae Bareli, on September 10 and 11. The video went viral on social media, showing the UP minister sitting right next to Gandhi when the spat kicked in between the two in the presence of senior officials. Amethi MP KL Sharma was also present in the meeting.

What Triggered The Argument?

According to the Indiatv report, it was triggered after Rahul Gandhi objected to the minister while he attempted to speak in the middle. Gandhi, who was chairing the meeting, told Singh that he would be allowed to speak when his turn came.

If you have something to say, ask first, and then I will give you a chance to speak, Gandhi heard as saying in the video. After hearing this, Singh got angry, thus they engaged in a brief argument. To encounter Congress leader, Singh asserted that Rahul was definitely the chairman, but he was not bound to listen to everything that Rahul said.

Dinesh Pratap Singh Leads Protest Against Gandhi

Earlier, as Gandhi began his Rae Bareli visit, Singh and his supporters staged a protest against the Congress MP over the recent abuse to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mother row. He said, "Rahul Gandhi did not say anything about abusing PM Modi's mother in Bihar. Rahul Gandhi should apologise and condemn the workers who abused PM Modi's mother and should expel them."

On an AI-generated video posted by the Bihar Congress showing two characters purportedly resembling PM Modi and his late mother, the UP Minister said, "I am very sad to see where these Congressmen want to take Rahul Gandhi. It is not the BJP; it is the politics of the Congress members. They are using PM Modi's mother to push Rahul Gandhi and his family into a pit. The ideas given by Rahul Gandhi's PR team, which has a lot of Congress members, are against Indian culture. The Congress is his biggest enemy."
