The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is set to mark its 100th anniversary with new goals and resolutions as it enters its centenary year. To commemorate the milestone, the Sangh has planned a series of programs and initiatives, beginning on Vijayadashami, its Foundation Day.
In Varanasi province, RSS volunteers will organise events at the block level, dressed in full uniform. To facilitate this, 1.25 lakh uniforms are currently being prepared, with production already underway this month. This information was shared by area incharge Dr Virendra Jaiswal during a press briefing at the Vishwa Samvad Kendra in Varanasi on Wednesday.
Dr Jaiswal further stated that from November 5 to November 30, RSS volunteers will conduct an extensive Grih Sampark Abhiyan, reaching out to households while distributing books and literature. Additionally, Hindu conferences will be organised at the local level across various mandals and colonies, with a target for completion by February.

The initiative will also include social harmony meetings at the block and city levels, aimed at strengthening societal bonds. At the district level, dialogues will be held with eminent citizens, and special youth-focused programs will be conducted by the provincial units.
Dr Jaiswal highlighted concerns raised during the All India Representative Assembly meeting in Bengaluru regarding atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. The interim government there was urged to take immediate action, while India's central government was called upon to implement diplomatic measures to ensure their safety. The assembly also appealed to Hindus across the country to stand in solidarity with their counterparts in Bangladesh.
Provincial Publicity Chief Dr Murarji Tripathi noted that RSS has seen significant growth in Varanasi province over the past year. The number of branches has risen from 2,713 to 2,851, with notable increases in student joint branches, college branches, young entrepreneur branches, adult branches, businessman branches, and child branches. There has also been an expansion in Saptahik Milan and Sangh Mandali, reflecting the Sangh’s growing influence in society.
