Several persons are feared dead while five have been injured after a massive explosion rocked a beer factory in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly. The beer factory is situated at Ismailpur village under the Bisharatganj police station area.

The intensity of the explosion was so high that the part of the boiler fell in a field about 500 meters away. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot soon after information was received by the fire department.

The injured were sent to the district hospital while the dousing operation was underway. The senior police and administrative officials reached also reached the spot.

The incident is said to have happened at 11:30 am. Soon after getting the information, the factory manager and staff fled from the spot. Meanwhile, aftrer hearing a loud sound, the villagers came out of their houses and reached near the factory.

The blast prompted chaos and panic in the plant and among the villagers in the nearby area. Moreover, the ADM also reached the spot to take toll of th situation. The ADM said that the trial was going on in the plant, during which this accident happened.

A week earlier, a massive blaze erupted at a cooler factory in Greater Noida's Surajpur area. A huge cloud of smoke claded the sky above the factory and the nearby area under the Ecotech 3 police station limits.

The fire that started at a cooler factory spread to nearby factories, triggering a large-scale firefighting operation.

As per the fire department, a total of 26 fire engines were rushed to the spot, and the fire was eventually doused. Despite the severity, fortunately, no casualties were reported.
