Panic gripped the JV Jain College campus after a young man openly fired two rounds from a country-made pistol. While firing the shots, the accused told the security guard to inform the Principal that he was the one who had opened fire. After issuing this threat, the accused fled the scene. The entire incident was captured on the CCTV cameras installed at the college gate. Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and began an investigation.
The Incident Details
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning at 10:46 am. A young man entered the JV Jain College campus with a cloth wrapped around his head. He wandered around the college for a while. Finding an opportunity near the main gate inside the campus, he fired two rounds from a pistol. The sound of the gunshots caused chaos within the college premises. After firing, the accused told the security guard stationed at the gate to let the Principal know that he was responsible for the shooting before escaping from the spot.
Police Investigation
The police arrived at the scene upon receiving the alert and gathered details about the matter. They have retrieved footage from the CCTV cameras, in which the youth can be seen firing the weapon. The police are currently working to identify the accused.
