The Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) will acquire 8,349 acres of land as part of its Master Plan-2045, aimed at boosting industrial development in the region. To enhance connectivity, the Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway will also be extended to Jhansi.

The decision was reviewed during a Project Monitoring Group (PMG) meeting on Thursday, chaired by Chief Secretary SP Goyal. Officials have been tasked with completing the land acquisition process by March next year, with monthly targets to ensure timely execution. The Chief Secretary emphasised that all construction work must meet quality standards and that any obstacles should be removed immediately.

A proposal for the expedited purchase of leased land (patta) has been prepared and will soon be sent to the Council of Ministers for approval. The Jal Nigam will oversee the rising main pump station and O&M for water supply outside the BIDA area, with the MoU process currently underway and land for the pumping station already identified.

Meanwhile, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for 15 MW electricity supply has been approved, and the DPR for an additional 40 MW is under preparation. The DPR for the 60-metre-wide main road has been received, with DPRs for the remaining roads scheduled for completion this month.

BIDA officials also stated that Indian Railways is conducting alignment work to integrate the Delhi-Chennai fourth railway line and railway station within the BIDA region. Additionally, a detailed review of the Lalitpur Pharma Park was conducted, with industrial plot allotments expected to commence on April 21, 2026.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary (Planning) Alok Kumar, MSME Department Secretary Pranjal Yadav, CEO of Invest UP Vijay Kiran Anand, and other senior officials.
