Thane Traffic Advisory: The Thane Police have issued an advisory, announcing a full-day closure of the Thane-Ghodbunder State Highway (SH-84) on Sunday, December 7, due to ongoing road maintenance. According to the traffic advisory, the stretch from Gaymukh Weighbridge, Kajupada, to Fountain Hotel under the Kasarvadavali traffic sub-division will remain completely closed for vehicular traffic.

“In the jurisdiction of Kasarvadavali traffic sub-division, traffic will be closed between Gaymukh Weighbridge, Kajupada, and Fountain Hotel, and arrangements for alternative routes have been made,” the Thane Police said.

Thane Traffic Advisory: Check Timings And Other Details

The Thane-Ghodbunder State Highway (SH-84) will remain closed for the entire day on December 7 for grouting and mastic asphalt repairs within the Kasarvadavali traffic sub-division, NDTV reported. The traffic restrictions will remain in place from 12 AM to 11:59 PM on December 7.

Authorities have announced alternative routes for commuters, urging those using the Ghodbunder stretch to plan their journey in advance to avoid closures.

Thane Traffic Advisory: Check Roads Closed And Alternative Routes

- All heavy vehicles travelling toward Ghodbunder Road from Mumbai and Thane will be stopped at Y Junction and Kapurbawdi Junction due to ongoing road work.

- Alternatively, vehicles can either continue straight from Y Junction and follow the Nashik Road route via Kharegaon Toll Plaza, Mankoli, and Anjurphata, or turn right at Kapurbawdi Junction and proceed through Kasheli and Anjurphata to reach their destination.

- All heavy vehicles heading toward Ghodbunder Road from Mumbra and Kalwa will be stopped at Kharegaon Toll Plaza.

- As an alternative, these vehicles can take the Kharegaon Bay Bridge, pass through Kharegaon Toll Plaza, and continue via Mankoli and Anjurphata to reach their destination.

- All heavy vehicles heading from Nashik towards Ghodbunder Road will be stopped at Mankoli Naka.

- These vehicles can take a right turn under Mankoli Bridge and proceed via Anjurphata to reach their destination safely.

Thane Traffic Advisory For Light Vehicles On Ghodbunder Road

Light vehicles heading towards Ghodbunder Road from Thane are advised to proceed from Gaimukh Chowki on the Ghodbunder-Thane Road using the wrong side. Vehicles can then continue toward their destination via the cut in front of the Fountain Hotel.
