A ten-foot crocodile crawled out of a canal and into a surrounding area, causing panic in a Uttar Pradesh village on Wednesday. In videos captured by terrified locals, the giant reptile is seen attempting to climb over a railing near the canal.
The crocodile came out of the Ganga canal at Narora Ghat in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr. The people notified the police and forest department, who arrived on the scene to catch the crocodile.
As officials sought to apprehend the reptile, the crocodile was spotted attempting to climb over an iron railing to return to the water. Failing to do so, the agitated crocodile falls to the ground and attempts to move away hurriedly.

Forest officials used a cloth to cover the crocodile's head and tie its limbs to prevent it from attacking the rescue team. Ropes were then used to tie the crocodile's legs, with four officials holding the head and front legs and another looping a rope around its hind legs.

Two officials held the crocodile's tail, while others secured a rope around its jaws.
According to officials, the crocodile was recovered after a few hours and released into the canal. It reportedly sustained injuries while attempting to climb the Narora Barrage fence. According to the footage, people congregated there after noticing the crocodile meandering outside the water.
A report on the Hindi news portal, Live Hindustan stated that the crocodile got lost and was trying to find its way back to the waters.
According to the news report, Forest Range Officer Mohit Chaudhary and rescue specialist Pawan Kumar handled the situation and skillfully freed the crocodile. It was discovered to be a female crocodile that had escaped the area's freshwater canal. After being saved by the authorities, it was released in the PLGC canal, which is said to have been a suitable home for it.
