The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a proposal to sell 4.62 hectares of Parag Dairy land in Noida to Rafe M Fibre for the expansion of its Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and drone production unit. The Yogi Cabinet gave the green light on Tuesday, enabling the defence manufacturing company to acquire the land for Rs 101 crore.
Rafe M Fibre has already invested Rs 800 crore in its existing facility in Sector 81, Noida, which manufactures UAVs, engines, payloads, and other critical systems for the Indian Armed Forces and police. The company had sought adjacent land, citing the project’s strategic and national importance.
As part of the arrangement, a new 10-acre dairy plant will be established in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area. The land for the dairy will be allotted at prevailing industrial rates, and Rafe M Fibre will be responsible for setting up and operationalising the new four-lakh-litre-per-day facility with the consent of PCDF (Pradeshiya Cooperative Dairy Federation).
Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Dharampal Singh stated that Rafe M Fibre will provide an additional Rs 10 crore to Parag Dairy due to the two-year construction period. If the plant is delayed beyond that, the company will compensate Parag Dairy at a rate of Rs 5 crore per year. It will also bear the cost of relocating the machinery from the current Noida unit.
