In response to the increasing number of property registrations in Dadri, the Uttar Pradesh government has approved the establishment of an additional sub-registrar office in the area. Currently, Dadri in Gautam Buddha Nagar district records an average of 280 registrations per day, significantly higher than many other offices across the state, where fewer than 100 registrations are processed daily.
Minister of State for Stamps and Registration (Independent Charge), Ravindra Jaiswal, stated that the high volume of work in Dadri has led to long waiting times for the public and limited capacity for sub-registrars to investigate cases related to stamp duty evasion.
To address this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sanctioned the opening of a second sub-registrar office in Dadri, aiming to streamline services and ease the burden on existing infrastructure.
Jaiswal further noted that there are currently 382 sub-registrar offices operating in the state. In areas like Sadar tehsils, where only about 50 registrations can be handled per office per day, the government plans to establish additional offices wherever workload demands are high. The jurisdiction boundaries of existing sub-registrars will also be reviewed to ensure a balanced distribution of responsibilities.
