When the news of this incident reached the girl's family, they alleged it was a murder and began to protest. They threw stones at the accused's house and blocked the road leading towards Jaswal-Magru intersection. The Pipiganj police arrived and calmed them down by promising to take action.

The deceased student has been identified as 15-year-old Mahima from Mathabari village, a ninth-grade student at Bapu Inter College in Pipiganj. On Monday morning, while she was at school, Dharmendra Sahani, a resident of the same village, arrived on a motorcycle and told her that his mother was unwell. He then took Mahima with him on his motorcycle towards the city.

Around 1 pm, the police informed the family that the girl had died in an accident on the four-lane highway in the Khorabar area while she was on a motorcycle with a young man. When the police investigated using CCTV footage, they found that the motorcycle belonged to Dharmendra Sahani of Mathabari village. After seeing the footage, the family identified him and began demanding action, accusing him of murder.

Around 5 PM, the situation became even more tense. Mahima's family members and fellow villagers threw stones at Dharmendra's house and then blocked the Jaswal-Magru road at the Mathabari intersection, disrupting traffic for about 20 minutes. The police immediately arrived, pacified the family, and cleared the blockade.

There, she told her friends that her mother was sick and she had to go for her treatment. She said, "Brother Dharmendra is taking me to Gorakhnath." Her friends felt suspicious, but Mahima ignored their questions and took leave from school.

Sometime later, she reached Gorakhpur with Dharmendra. According to the family, they both also visited AIIMS and the Budhiya Mai temple. Later, while they were returning on the four-lane road, their motorcycle was hit by a truck near Siktaur as they were overtaking. Mahima died on the spot, and Dharmendra was injured.

Grief descended upon her home. Her father, Amarnath Sahani, was devastated. He said, "My Mahima was the eldest, the future of her younger siblings depended on her. Now everything is over." His wife Niranjani's cries echoed through the village. Her younger brothers, Vikas and Vishal, were on the verge of fainting after seeing their sister's body.

At 5 pm, the angry family members and villagers stormed Dharmendra's house and pelted it with stones. The crowd also alleged that Dharmendra was not alone and that other boys were with him. After this, everyone gathered at the Mathabari intersection and blocked the road. The police promptly arrived and assured the crowd that an investigation would be conducted, which finally calmed the situation.
