In an effort to enhance both the efficiency and conduct of Uttar Pradesh Police, special training on ‘good behaviour’ will be provided to 60,244 newly appointed constables of the Civil Police.
To support this initiative, master trainers will be developed to teach communication, practical skills, and positive behaviour to the large cohort of constables. The National Karmayogi Mission’s Integrated Government Online Training (IGOT) program has been incorporated into the basic training curriculum. Completion of two mandatory courses on the IGOT portal will be required for all trainees.
DGP Rajiv Krishna inaugurated a five-day workshop organised by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) in collaboration with its knowledge partner Illumin at the Training Directorate. The workshop aims to prepare lead trainers who will play a key role in delivering this enhanced training program.
The Lead Trainer will conduct a three-day training program for teachers from 112 training institutes, preparing them as Lead Coaches. These Lead Coaches will then train newly appointed recruit constables in good behaviour, communication, and practical skills.

During the workshop, in-charges of police training institutes will participate online. DGP Rajiv Krishna highlighted that police behaviour has significantly evolved over the past 25 to 30 years. He emphasised that basic training is a crucial, systematic foundation that profoundly shapes the future of the trainees.
Recruit constables should be trained using audio-visual content, which will be implemented across all 112 training centres. The exemplary behaviour of policemen towards devotees during the Maha Kumbh was a result of ongoing training, regular briefings, and consistent counselling.
