The Public Works Department (PWD) has sanctioned Rs 3.72 crore for the repair of 11 deteriorated roads in Gonda, with Rs 1.5 crore allocated as the first installment. Following this approval, officials have begun preparations to commence the repair work.

Rs 30 lakh will be spent on the Katha Ghat Marg to Khale Jhanjhari Shukulnpurwa Marg, with Rs 18 lakhs released for the initial phase. Rs 28.5 lakhs have been allocated for the Bhugarbh Jal Karyalay to Garibipurava Marg, with Rs 17 lakhs released initially. The DMB Marg to Raipur Bhatta via Daulatpur Sampark Marg will cost Rs 28 lakhs, with approximately Rs 17 lakhs released in the first instalment. 

The Khaira Sampark Marg will cost Rs 39 lakhs to repair, with an initial Rs 23 lakhs released. The Maskanwa-Sikanderpur to Patkhauli-Basudevpur Grant via Bharpurwa Marg will cost Rs 51 lakhs, with Rs 30 lakhs released initially. Rs 47 lakhs will be spent on the Tendua Ranipur Marg, with Rs 28 lakhs released initially. The Chhapia Mandir to Itala Khurd Marg will cost Rs 52 lakhs to repair, with an initial Rs 31 lakhs released.

The Imaliya Mishra Sampark Marg will cost Rs 18 lakhs, with Rs 10 lakhs released initially. The Bhatwaliya Sampark Marg will cost Rs 29 lakhs, with close to Rs 18 lakhs released. The Pipra Padum Marg to Manshapurwa via Dihwa Marg will cost Rs 34 lakhs, with an initial installment of Rs 21 lakhs. 

The Pandrivallbh Khas Sampark Marg will cost Rs 14.75 lakhs to repair, with close to Rs 9 lakhs released in the first instalment. The PWD is preparing to commence repair work soon, providing relief to residents.

“Following the approval and release of the first installment, preparations for the repair work are in full swing. Once the repairs are completed, residents will benefit from improved road conditions and safer commutes,” saidYogendra Singh, Superintending Engineer.
