The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) on Thursday approved nine new real estate projects across six districts, Lucknow, Barabanki, Prayagraj, Chandauli, Aligarh and Noida. These projects will collectively develop 1,586 residential units, including flats, plots and villas, under residential and mixed-development models aimed at catering to both urban and semi-urban markets.
The approvals were granted during the authority’s 189th meeting, chaired by UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy. Senior officials and subject experts reviewed and sanctioned projects involving a total investment of Rs 2,009 crore.
Noida received the highest share, with three projects worth Rs 1,536.99 crore approved, reaffirming its position as a prime real estate hub in the NCR. In Lucknow, a project valued at Rs 283.76 crore was cleared, expected to support rising residential and commercial demand in the capital.
Barabanki received approval for two projects worth Rs 120.85 crore, boosting real estate growth in peri-urban areas. One project each was sanctioned in Prayagraj (Rs 11.47 crore) and Chandauli (Rs 37.85 crore), supporting development across the Purvanchal region. A Rs 17.72 crore project in Aligarh was also cleared to address local housing needs.
UP RERA stated that the Rs 2,008.64 crore investment will significantly contribute to the state’s GDP and generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs. The construction boom is also expected to benefit allied sectors such as cement, steel, electrical equipment, furniture, transport and financial services.
Chairman Bhoosreddy said the latest approvals reflect growing investor confidence, supported by major infrastructure projects such as the Purvanchal and Bundelkhand expressways, metro expansion, Dedicated Freight Corridor, and new airport and industrial corridor developments.
