Continuous rainfall over the past two days has led authorities to declare holidays for students across several districts in Uttar Pradesh. The Meerut authorities have declared a holiday for all schools up to class eight on Tuesday.
In Shamli, the in-charge District Inspector of Schools, Lata Rathore, announced that, following instructions from the District Magistrate, all board schools and colleges from classes 1 to 12 will remain closed on Tuesday. Officials warned that strict action will be taken against schools that fail to comply with the order.

Similarly, in Hathras, schools up to class 8 have been closed. Children arriving at schools on Monday morning were drenched due to the heavy rain, and many school routes became waterlogged by the afternoon.
Following the directives of the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA), a holiday has been declared for all students from class 1 to 8 on September 2 to ensure their safety.

District Inspector of Schools Rajesh Kumar highlighted that the meteorological department has forecast further heavy rainfall on Tuesday. Considering the difficulties students face commuting in such weather and the increased risk of accidents, authorities deemed the closure necessary.
