The work of Special Intensive Revision (SIR), which started in all the districts of Uttar Pradesh on November 4, is going on in full swing across the state and will continue till December 4. Besides Uttar Pradesh, the process of updating the voter list is going on in 12 states, including Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, and Kerala.
Additionally, voters also have the facility to download the updated voter list booth-by-booth by entering their locality or area names directly on the website, displaying all the relevant polling stations' voter lists on one screen.
What Is A Voter List?
A voter list, also known as an electoral roll or register, is an official document that contains a detailed record of every person who is registered and eligible to vote in a specific jurisdiction or electoral district.
UP Voter List 2003: Step-By-Step To Verify Name In The List
- Step 1: Visit the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Uttar Pradesh at https://ceouttarpradesh.nic.in/
- Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link for 'Electoral Roll (Special Summary Revision 2025)' or the relevant voter list section. Subsequently, a list of all the districts in Uttar Pradesh will appear.
- Step 3: Select the district where you and your family members are registered as voters.
- Step 4: Choose your Assembly Constituency from the same once the complete list appears.
- Step 5: Click on the polling stations which is located near your locality.
- Step 6: Select the ‘Final Roll’ or ‘Draft Roll’ option located next to your polling station.
- Step 7: Enter the captcha code which is displayed on the screen and click on the ‘Verify’ option.
- Step 8: A PDF document of the voter list will open, containing the names and details of all the registered voters from that polling booth.
